Three Things...And Then Some

Every day I try  to make note of three things that make me happy to be a human being. Some days it's a bit difficult but most of the time I can spot WAY MORE than three things.
Here are Some Things that have been keeping me afloat:

Check out my Side Bar over There. Curtise is my designated match maker!!!!

Dolce and Gabbana's Spring 2014 Fashion Show.
I would wear absolutely EVERYTHING in this show, even the see-through things. Hear that D&G? Throw me a bone. Mi gettare un osso, per favore!

Watch it HERE
Turn up your sound. The music is very nice!
York Pieces. I am addicted!

I love the sad beautiful faces in these 1940's mug shots of women prisoners at the San Diego Police Headquarters Jail Museum.

Oh, poor little Jackie Todd. What went wrong to send you here with these guys?

Things were tough in the 1940's. York Pieces hadn't yet been invented!
Check out more about this museum HERE and HERE on my friend Lori's awesome blog OBSERVATIONS.

And the Amazing Sacramento of Mis Papelicos listed me as one of her stylish friends.
That's like having Meryl Streep put you on her favorite actor list!
Thank you so much!!!

So....What are YOUR Favorite Things These Days???

  1. YOU are a favourite thing (person). I love your pic of you and Curtise! I can almost hear your whispers from here. (And you are a fabulous Hall).
AND you are so right about the soundtrack. If you played that music as accompaniment for the biographies of the criminals, they would come across as paragons of high society, even the most heinous villains would appear respectful and dazzling. The music reminds me of Mr. Allen. I appoint it as the Soundtrack of My Life.

    1. Aw shucks, Mel. So true. The right music can really set the scene. I hear conga drums and mermaids signing.

  2. Just watched the fashion show - amazing! Thanks for the shout out about my blog --- so you made it to The Headquarters (cool photos), did you shop at Kitson? You, my dear Connie, are high on the list of my favorite people :-)

  3. Your Double Date photo and Curtise are very nice photos. Well done! That's a nice practice to remember three things everyday that makes us happy. I will do that from now on including three things that I am grateful for. Have a wonderful weekend.

  4. I quite like those mug shots too, and that their crime is on them. Three things that made me happy today were, the sunshine, my garden, and all my pets. I am pretty easy to please, I like the simple things in life.

    1. York Pieces are little bits of soft peppermint with dark chocolate and a candy shell. I'll try to find the Australian equivilant for you.

  6. Curtise has done a grand job, both are brilliant Ms Hall! I couldn't get any soundtrack because my laptop is having a techno tantrum but I think wearing shimmery gold would be delectable on you. I'm with Jo, I don't know what York is? am intrigued now! 3 things to make me happy right now? coffee, a warm fire and some toast - those mug shots are fascinating btw x x x

    1. Mmmmmm I love toast, too. OK. A York Piece is a cross between an After Eight mint and a Smartie.

  8. Connie, you are such a star! Vix took the words out of my mouth, YOU are one of my favourite things too. I am happy to arrange further dates for you, just say the word, and the photo will be done!
We don't have York pieces here; are they chocolate in a shell, like our Minstrels? They look pretty anyway! But not as pretty as the D&G clothes, every piece so very beautiful and elegant.
Oh those 1940s mug shots are desperate, aren't they? So sad. The look of poverty and loss of hope is always the same, whatever the era.
Good for you, being featured on Sacramento's blog; you've made it, you're a fashion blogger, love!
My favourite things at the moment? Apart from you? Watching a film with the family, with a blanket and a cat draped on my lap; roast dinners; and the snakeshead fritillaries popping up in my garden. If I could only get someone else to cook the dinner, my happiness quotient would be even higher.
PS. As we know, Nash is all MINE! xxxxx

  9. I don't usually like fashion shows, but I love me a good ruined column. And flowers. Why didn't Signor Dolce Gabbana put flowers on his columns? Hmmmm.

My three favorite things right now are clear sky, solitude (the mister is away), and remembering making out with Stephen Stills while you and Curtise were still trying to decided between the walrus and the bloke with the bushy hair.

  10. My favorite thing today is YOU! Coupla things...

    1) Really? Cosby, Stills, and Nash? At least you didn't include Young;
    2) Watch out for the Wooden-man.
