Gashlycrumbs

It's Tulle Time!!!!!!
striped tee ~ J Jill
white tulle over black tulle ~ made by me
leggings ~ who knows? who cares?
flip flops ~ guess what? Reefs!

Donchya just LOVE Tulle????
This time of year it is so important to add some tulle to your wardrobe for Halloween Costumes and Holiday Parties and Impromptu Tipsy Interpretations of the Nutcracker.
You just never know when you might need a some Tulle.

I had plans to do a little tutorial on how to make a tulle skirt.
A white one with and elastic waistband and a black one with a satin sash waistband.
But this tulle was being such a beatch that it turned into quite a tussle. A Total Tulle Tussle.
I kinda lost it. This was not the adorable DIY that I had planned.
So I scrapped the DIY. This type of thing happens more frequently than I'd like to admit.
I'll probably wear the black tulle over a skirt and the white tulle under. Maybe. Who knows.
Anyhoo....I decorated a Halloween Cake.
I am capable of making beautiful cakes. This is Not one of them.
mmmm....cake.
After my Tulle misadventure I Deserve Cake. Yes I Do.
And Since it's Halloween let me tell you about my deep abiding love for Edward Gorey.
I love him so much! I'm sad that he is gone because I just want MORE Edward St. John Gorey!
The Gashlycrumb Tinies is one of my favorites.
I actually bought this little book for my kids when they were younger.
I made certain that interspersed with Flopsy Bunnies and Madeline they had a healthy dose of Edward Gorey, Tim Burton and Lemony Snicket.
Hey, I'm just providing them with material for future therapy sessions.
You can see the whole book HERE

C is for CONNIE who ate too much cake

I'm off to crash the Halloween Party at Mis Papelicos' Share-in-Style

Wreck 'Em - Burn The British

What is it about Eating Breakfast Out in a Coffee Shop?

I can make Eggs at Home.
We have a very nice Coffee Maker and a Fancy Toaster.

But We don't have one of These at our House
Wall-O-Matic!

Wouldn't It Be Nice?
So instead of lolling around in our pj's all day we actually got dressed on a Sunday and drove to Coronado, California to have Breakfast at Clayton's Coffee Shop.
This place is so old school that they don't even have a website or a Facebook page or anything!
Ca-Razy!

mmm...  pie
This is how you can tell that we're in Southern California. Hot sauce on every table.
