One of the best things about blogging is connecting on so many levels with kindred spirits all around the world. But I don't have to tell you that, do I? You all KNOW it's true.
I am in the process of recovering from my latest Prolotherapy treatment.
Believe me, it is Not Blogworthy.
So I shall now entertain you with some photos of an Apple Tart baking session.
I like to use Golden Delicious Apples because they hold their shape when baked.
Wish I could say the same for myself...ba-da-bum.
Monsieur Crepe, My Bakery Assistant. I should probably make him wear a hairnet. |
And just when I was feeling really really sorry for myself...
THIS came in the mail. And It Made My Day!!!!
All hand made by the most amazing Suzanne Carillo.
We all know that she is amazing. She made everything here.
You really must check out her Etsy shop.
Really. The photo does not do this necklace justice.
It is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
Thank you Suzanne. The healing crystals are working their magic.
I feel better already.
XXXXOOOO
That is a beautiful apple tart!!! Did Pancake get a piece? Gorgeous necklace, what a sweet gift. Connie, you are so loved in the blogging world (and of course, in the real world too).
ReplyDeleteI love your baking assistant, helpful?? You certainly made a mighty fine looking Tart, of the apple variety.
ReplyDeleteTrès mignon cet apprenti pâtissier ! ;-)
ReplyDeletewhat a fabulous gift....what a fabulous tart!!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne is amazing, I love her creations! That tart looks delicious, I need to see more of your bakery assistant, he's too cute for words. xxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous necklace, looks like pieces from a crown! Your tart looks delish.....your baking assistant is waiting for a reward.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that I put a smile on your face. I had to go back and look at outfits you wear before I made the necklace. Wanted to be sure it would be something you could wear.
ReplyDeleteYou look like a professional boulangère with that tarte aux pommes. Yum! I want that recipe. Your pastry looks especially excellent.
After looking at the treatment you just had I needed to send you a whole box of healing crystals. Wow. That looks horrible.
Huge hugs to you Connie! I hope the treatment worked. Sending healing vibes your way.
And a big hug for the adorable Pancake too : )
bisous
Suzanne

suzanne´s necklace is really beautiful - and with healing crystals! so lovely!
my best health wishes to you!!!! xxxxx
The apple tart looks delicious Connie! I can think of nothing better to go with tea this afternoon...what time dear?
ReplyDeleteYour necklace is a beauty....healing crystals have such a lovely energy about them. And speaking of healing, cyber hugs headed your way...I know the prolotherapy is...blechy, but can be super effective!!! So, hang in there!
Speaking of hugs....your assistant deserves a hug too...just 'cause he's so cute.
Your tart and Bakery Assistant look fabulous, as does Suzanne's necklace. Hugs to you dear Connie and hope the healing energy and therapy combine to make you feel better xx
ReplyDeleteGo to YouTube and look up "Cooking with Dog". I promise, it will make your day!
ReplyDeleteLovely gift!!! Holy crap that apple tart!!!!!!! Hope the healing goes well.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, Connie, that tart has my mouth watering. It looks like a piece of heaven on earth.
ReplyDeleteOh my Connie, your apple Tarte looks trés delicious! I would like a piece please.

ReplyDeleteConnie, your apple tart looks scrumptious!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are one shapely tart, Ms. Snow! That looks yummy, and the necklace is lovely - how sweet of Suzanne. You must style it for us. And bake a cherry pie, that's my favorite.
ReplyDeleteBwahaha, I occasionally rely on body shapers even when I'm not baked. Dear Connie, you make me laugh. So does Pancake in the kitchen looking for runaway apples and flour. Well, you've got three powerful things in your favour to help you through the prolotherapy: pie, crystals, and Pancake. And we (although I desperately want to say us). I hope you ate all the pie and shall eat more while sitting on those crystals. Suzanne is awesome of course.
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm sending you my most warm and healing thoughts. I'm sorry you have to go through this. I am hanging on Sue's words too - "super effective"!
I just love when you say Bwahaha. You are the best kind of fairy godmother.
DeleteBe still my beating heart ... I think I'm in love with your apple tart ... gimme, gimme, gimme ;0)
ReplyDeleteBut I KNOW I'm in love with Monsieur Pancake Crepe ... he is just too adorable ... and I LOVE him :0)
xx
I needed to write again. This tart is on my brain. As in, I thought of it first thing this morning when I woke up. I MUST have this recipe! Just so I can go back to functioning and having normal thoughts upon waking.
ReplyDeletePlease just email me the info. I promise I won't give all your secrets away. Plus I have a small pug that can help out in the kitchen as I see that must be a requirement of making it so special.
bisous
Suzanne
How sweet of Suzanne! it's a beautiful necklace and I believe in crystals, I hope they do their magic, I saw the treatment there - a hairy baking assistant help make the best tarts, Monsieur Crepe is adorable and your tart looks delicious x x x
ReplyDeleteThat's so kind of Suzanne, the necklace is lovely. I can't believe that crystals have healing powers, but I might be persuaded that apple tarts and good friends do... And helpful canine sous chefs, of course!
ReplyDeleteSending much love and a very gentle squeeze your way, darling Connie! xxx
Ha! Poor baby with your back ... I send all my best healy hug ( cyber hugs are better for you sometimes, 'cause real one can hurt sore backs!) Nice to think of you enjoying a slice of that tart with Monsieur Crepe. Champagne goes really well with apple tart. Sweet of Suzanne, wasn't it? Hope you have a good week and that the coming spring brings you pain-free days and days ... for always!
ReplyDeleteOne looong hairnet that is! Your assistant is the most adorable and no doubt very helpful in the kitchen, and in your healing process! Pets are just some of the best healers, aren't they? Your tart looks delicious - yes please! I'd come for another "helper" as my little daughter used to say. The necklace is truly gorgeous, and Suzanne is talented and very kind. A hand written note from a friend and such a unique gift - another super healing thing! Sending you hugses. dear Connie. Get well soon! xxx
ReplyDeleteGood friends, good food, and a furry kitchen assistant are all wonderful things. I hope you're feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne is pretty cool. I didn't know she had an Etsy shop. I'll check it out. Can I have a bite of that tart pie thing?!?!?
ReplyDeleteI like this your post very much, because it's really amazing! Great job!

ReplyDeleteSo we've all been educated in not only Prolotherapy but the divine art of pie making. My mother-in-law used to make a mean apple pie too. Me, I make apple crumble which gets some good reviews. Suazanne is such a sweetheart x
